We finally wake up to sunshine this morning.
Went to a very inspiring lecture by John Perkins (author of What is an Economic Hit Man?) at the Univ Bookstore last night. Maybe 300 people were there. He was interviewed on NPR yesterday. His main message was that we, citizens, can't be intimidated by corporations and their power to control so much of our resources. We are surrounded by appathetic media coverage of what is really going on so we need to educate ourselves and take action in whatever small way that we can. We are all so busy with work and paying the bills that we forget to write that email or call that senator or politician to let them know how we feel about so and so corporation or deal that was made. Am I being vague enough?! I think you get the idea though.
